“We absolutely LOVE this place! For years we tried to find a decent place for a couple of days away that was relaxing, with great rooms/food/facilities and a few years ago, we landed at The Lake. We haven't looked back and we are not the only return visitors. It is glorious! The staff absolutely make the place shine even more - special shout out to them, as they always deliver. A beautiful and comfortable lodge suite, absolutely stunning grounds in the sun and the rain, delicious food, a great pool and beautiful outdoor hot tub to watch the kites fly by from, and a great welcome from all staff. Another review...talks about the place having a very special vibe and it is still true. Lake country house  hotel continues to be an idyllic and relaxing place to while a few days and feel like you are in another world. If this was nearer London it would be double the price, and probably not as magical! The journey there is so scenic! 

Great relaxing vacation. Dinner B & B and spa treatments. Lovely staff so helpful. Location so tranquil with lots of walks Stunning scenery. Room was a suite and was big with old decor and superbly presented. Plenty of room outside and in. Being an avid swimmer the pool was excellent, well kept clean and was just the right length.

Where to start........! The whole experience was sublime. Such a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere with tremendously brilliant staff - so welcoming and accommodating and friendly. Their warmth was wonderful and started from the second we arrived. The suite was gorgeous and the bed was amazing!!! Every day the room was serviced to perfection. Slept so well. The food was spectacular - from wonderful and varied breakfast options served in the room to lunches in the cosy lounge, afternoon teas and beautiful dinner in the evening. Treatments were also numerous even with current restrictions and all therapists were brilliant. Thank you thank you to all the people at The Lake Country House Hotel for the wonderful holiday you have given us. It is no exaggeration when I say that in my 56 years this is the BEST holiday I’ve ever had. Not just because it’s the most recent - I truly mean the BEST

Took my mum for a break and it was lovely, secluded and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The hotel had lovely warm fires and a cosy room to sit in to chat and have a cup of tea/coffee brought to you. Our room was spacious. When we woke up the only thing we could hear was birds. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. Can’t wait to go back with my husband and my dog because dogs are welcome too.

Expertly judged in every way from the superb food quality to the management of the grounds. Even how everything is approached by the very friendly staff is just right.

If I owned a Spa Hotel I like to think it would be just how this one is.
